Political drama at it's bestBy Miles Orchard from Cardiff , 17 Feb 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]What can one say about the west Wing that hasn't already been said? The political drama set in the administrative 'West' wing of the White House concentrates on a group of dedicated people supporting probably the best President America will ever have! The winner of four consecutive Emmy Awards as Outstanding Drama Series, under the direction of executive producer John Wells it offers viewers a realistic, behind-the-scenes peek into the Oval Office as seen through the eyes of its eclectic group of frenzied staffers and the devoted First Family.
It is a very fast paced drama and knowledge of the American political system does help but it certainly doesn't hinder any enjoyment you may have should you know absolutely nothing about American politics.
Just when you think the writers can't improve, out they come with episode after episode of high quality drama. I cannot rate this drama highly enough and if you are a fan or good quality writing, drama and acting; then this is the series for you.
Martin Sheen stars as the President, his support cast include Rob Lowe, Stockard Channing, Dule Hill, John Spencer and Bradley Whitford.

Excellent!By luffdee (2 reviews) from Leicestershire , 11 Oct 2008The West Wing just gets better and better.
If, like me, you missed out on the classic series when it was first shown, do take the opportunity to catch up on this fantastic series. A thought provoking yet entertaining drama looking at a Democratic president and all the staff surrounding him. Great story, great characters and able to look at real dilemmas facing the President. I can't wait until the next disc!
It just gets betterBy Rutlandtug (29 reviews) from Rutland , 25 Sep 2008I am slowly catching up with the West Wing and am never dissapointed. I liked the first part of this series, a bit sentimental but 9/11 was recognised ina respectful way.
The acting is great and the writing superb looking forward to getting some sleep though when the Wing cylce is over
It's getting better by the discBy Wiggley (12 reviews) from Crawley , 29 Apr 2008Brilliant writing by Aaron Sorkin. Witty, punchy one liners. Everyone a winner.
martin sheen for presidentBy fibber (31 reviews) from Lancaster , 06 Dec 2007We absolutely love this show.
There's nothing to say except watch them all and enjoy!
THAT'S ENOUGH. BORED NOW.By nORMObAZZA (1249 reviews) from Surrey, England , 24 Jun 2007I'm out, two discs into Series (never did like 'Season') 3. I'm not conversant enough with American politics for the intelligent stuff to mean much, and the comic asides just aren't funny anymore. Same old, same old.
