I would say this is good (3.5 stars) rather than very good (4 stars) but the software forces me to do whole numbers. 64 to 68 represents a truly magical period in WHO history for me. retrospectively we know the band are about the release Tommy (in 69) and become demi-gods and this period represents the build up with the release of their first 3 albums and numerous classic timeless singles. This DVD features no interviews with WHO members or their managers but unlike most of these talking headstype reviews there are some interesting people like Shel Talmy and Paolo Hewitt talking. Lots of the same old anecdotes we've all heard 100s of times punctuated with some great clips of the band. Usually these sort of reviews aren't worth watching but on balance I think this one is- Was this review helpful to you?

Could be better!!
By a customer from Bristol , 23 Oct 2007This would be an interesting DVD for a fan or inquisitive person but whereas many DVDs have relevant people who do the 'talking heads' this one is quite poor in respect of the people expressing their views. Its not a bad DVD but there are a lot better.- Was this review helpful to you?

The loadest band in the world
By a customer from Worthing, nxt 2 Brighton , 11 Apr 2007This is a very good DVD of The Who A somewhat more indepth reporting of the start of the band. I am currently reading Behind Blue Eyes, which is The Life of Pete Townsend and it is so close to this DVD. I have followed the Who for many years. This DVD is interesting to both THE FAN and the inquistive, who might have heard a bit of Pete or Roger or the charity work they have been doing over the last decade or so. With the remaining members getting new artist signed up with record deals and new bands styling themselfs on the Who like Kooks,Razorlight & Babyshambles, etc The Who will go on for many more years. Do I sound biased? No a great DVD for all. And Pete's mouth is clean. so everyone can watch this documentry- Was this review helpful to you?
