    Winds of War

Great viewing. I just viewed the first disc and the second arrived this morning. It is better than I remember having seen the orignalseries in the 80s on its initial release. Great settings and costumes make this a really great view. Thoroughly enjoy watching it over again.

    A classic war epic

Remember watching this first time around and being very impressed. Second viewing hasn't disappointed either, as epic productions on the second world war go it is the best so far

    winds of war

we were really looking forward to seeing this series again, after watching it many years ago. We were however really disappointed on the whole. Some of the acting was really wooden to say the very least and the relationship development between two of the characters was painfully slow and seemed to take over much of the plot, especially in disc 2!

Not all bad, there was some good parts especially some of the historical scenes but saying that we gave up by disc 4 and could face no more.
