The best television show ever produced. That may sound like hyperbole, but this show is on the level with great literature. I would compare it to the great works of Charles Dickens. Though it details Baltimore, it has a lot to say about how any city functions. Outstanding in every way.- Was this review helpful to you?

Best season

While they are all very good I think that season 3 is the highpoint and its the one I enjoyed the most over the last few months. A solid story without overdoing it, a confident series that won't be rushed but also has a shocking denouement.- Was this review helpful to you?

theres no point watching anything else

I dont need to write a long review of this bad boy, just check the 5 stars! the only criticism I have is that once you've seen this (& really, I'm talking all 5 series here) you'll wonder why you should bother watching anything else!- Was this review helpful to you?

The best Drama from the US EVER !!!
By Mickyt (1 review) , 23 Aug 2011This could be the best thing ever from the US. 24 was good but got repetitive after a while. In the end it was always the person who you thought it couldn’t be!
Whereas The Wire keeps changing, great character’s with some great one liners as well. (some really good humor as well) Some great story lines, which keep you on the edge of your seat.
I can highly recommend this for some compelling viewing.
Just a note, if you get upset over bad language this is not the show for you.- Was this review helpful to you?
