A modern-day fairy tale set in rural England and narrated by Boy George, THE WOLVES OF KROMER is fueled by themes of lust, greed, and murder. Two plots intertwine to form a beguiling mystery-suspense story full of intrigue. Two old maids (Margaret Towner, Rita Davies) murder their mistress (Rosemarie Dunham) and frame a couple of local "wolves" (male models James Layton and Lee Williams), rousing the interest of a group of religious zealots. A carnival of strange characters and bizarre activities, THE WOLVES OF KROMER is a unique fantasy film.

Well, what is this film about?
It attempts to paint a view of the prejudices levelled against homosexuals in the shape of prejudices againsts wolves. The central protagonists are men dressed as wolves (imagine pantomine where reality blurs with story book characters). This, the film does quite well, with the similarities in seeing wolves as diseased, as something to be feared and seen as disgusting, and how they cannot perhaps ever hope to live side by side with humans (hetros).
Anyway, that's the only recommendation to this film. The actors aren't really that handsome as the other reviews suggest. The twist is kinda obvious. A sad ending as well. No happily ever after.
The acting is a bit hammy. But what can you expect from a british production.
Not really worth your time me thinks.
