This film is completely hysterical and totally brilliant. I laughed so much during the final 20 minutes my mouth was hurting! Peter Sellers is brilliant in this, along with Bernard Cribbins and Lionel Geoffreys. Like all great films, the plot is very simple but so effective. Borrow this now!- Was this review helpful to you?

(11)Very funny and ludicrous
By a customer , 17 Nov 2011Lionel Jeffries almost steals the film, but there are lots of fine actors. The plot is absurd but the film makes it work. Very enjoyable and much better than most British comedies of the period.- Was this review helpful to you?

Solid Ealing-esque film
By a customer from Sheffield , 15 Apr 2008Funny satire very much in the Ealing tradition. Not quite of the level of the Ealing's but Peter Sellers as always is very good.- Was this review helpful to you?

A classic British film.
By a customer from Twickenham , 11 May 2006This is classic early Peter Sellers. For lovers of this genre also try 'I'm All Right Jack'- Was this review helpful to you?

Not Peters best
By a customer from Belfast , 14 Sep 2005This is not a bad British comedy,
but it`s not Peter Sellers at his best.
Still worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?
