A Grim Experience in the Old West

This is another stinker that I am surprised has not been acclaimed as an unrecognised masterpiece.
The story itself has merit but the acting by the two leads is at an amateur level and Dennis Hopper does his usual sub-James Dean routine which makes his character totally anachronistic for the period in which the story is set.
