(5)Wayne Rules the Waves
By Cato (703 reviews) from Lydbury North , 23 Nov 2011A typical John Ford effort, in which the helmets could have been exchanged for cowboy hats and taken half a century or so before with horses in the place of boats. Wayne gives a rather restrained hard man performance and the battle scenes at sea are spectacularly shot. At all times an old American song is woven into the strident score, adding to the feeling of American camaraderie in every tight situation.- Was this review helpful to you?
