By Tom Charity from LOVEFiLM
The legendary director of Oldboy, Chan-wook Park returns with Thirst, a film about vampires that's a world away from Twilight.

A beautiful film, the set pieces are always amazing and Song Kang-Ho is brilliant as the blood thirsty priest.

(108)Bleedin' good try
By NDG (172 reviews) from Oxfordshire , 27 Apr 2012Well shot with some deft touches, this adds style and black humour into the vampire mix. However, it does lose its way at times during its 2hr-plus length.- Was this review helpful to you?

Quality is GREAT! but the film is quite slow & dull.
By Sony3DGuy (43 reviews) from Barnsley , 20 Apr 2012Its always amazes me the quality of world cinema films over the British & US films, the QUALITY of this film is SUPERB, I think they must use superior HD cameras in china than anywhere else in the world.
The film itself is average with some great acting. But its all quite dull in my opinion. its not a edge-of-your-seat vampire film, but more of a vampire drama or love-story.
Its slow, you always kind of know what is coming next, but the quality of the film is amazing.- Was this review helpful to you?

too weird for me, im afraid.
By emperor10 (200 reviews) from newcastle upon tyne , 26 Feb 2012i like vampire films. this, however, just didnt do it for me. japanese/korean films are bonkers at the best of times, and this is no exception. the story is wierd, the acting is weird. i gave up after an hour. it just doesnt engage.- Was this review helpful to you?

An actually good vampire film!
By doom-generation (4 reviews) from Nuneaton , 21 Jan 2012Okay, so I don't even like vampire films. I hate them infact. Until this movie the only film I'd seen involving vampires which I liked was Let The Right One In.
But this is a great movie. Mainly because Park Chan-Wook is a brilliant director who knows exactly what he wants. The characters are great, and the supporting characters in particular just help make this film a real gem.
It's a little slow at the start, but stick with it, it's worth it!- Was this review helpful to you?

Definatly one to re-watch
By Kim890 (6 reviews) , 04 Dec 2011I really enjoyed this film from start to finish. By the end I was quite emotional. I thought the acting and emotion was portrayed beautifully. Its exciting and keeps you on the edge of your seat because you dont know how its going to end. The only thing I have to fault it is that the trailer made it look like there was a lot more involvement from the family than thier was. For example, the archory champion. Damn I hated her... I was swearing at the telle because of her... You'll soon see why...- Was this review helpful to you?
