You couldn't really call 'This Island Earth' a great film,

but it is an excellent bad film, a classic of sf cinema.'This Island Earth' may be pulp, but captures everything that science fiction stories of the Golden Age were all about - awe, excitement and wonder. Of course Rex Reason is plank-like and Faith Domergue screams too much, but if you can look past some of the acting, there's a fine story and some of the best sfx of the time

Sit back, relax, and enjoy an entertaining ride from a magical sci-fi era.
