Far too long and ...
By a customer from Leeds, England , 22 Oct 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
Far too long and probably deeply racicist but what a hoot! Julie Andrews sings in Yiddish and does early career boob gag! Particularly amazed by Carol Channing's performance as Muzzie - still looks like a man in drag but an amazingly physical performance. Perfect hangover afternoon viewing - just skip the overture and the intermission music.- Was this review helpful to you?

(12)Thoroughly Modern Millie
By Miriam from Ealing, London , 06 Mar 2011A fun and enjoyable musical. Loved the Tapioca song and dance.
Interludes at the beginning of a film are pointless.- Was this review helpful to you?

WAY too long
By rm17 (9 reviews) from London , 24 Feb 2011I was really disappointed in this film, it's WAY too long and parts are so boring. Why do we have to have a 5 minute overture of just music and a 5+minute intermission??? There are no really memorable song or dance routines to make this a 'great' musical.
A decent edit would make this much more enjoyable.- Was this review helpful to you?

Julie Andrews classic
By surreyfilmlover (34 reviews) from Surrey , 09 Nov 2010Over 2 hours 30 but a very enjoyable Julie Andrews classic performance. If it had been cut to 1h 30 it could well have been a 'Carry on'. A fun, dull, Autumn afternoons viewing.- Was this review helpful to you?

Thoroughly Modern Millie
By a customer from Cambridge , 03 Aug 2009Julie Andrews at her best - but Carol Channing steals the show. Brilliant family entertainment - all singing and dancing.- Was this review helpful to you?

A bit of fluff
By a customer from Buckhurst Hill, Essex , 27 Apr 2009Not that you could believe for one minute you could be viewing anything more than a dated comedy (by today's standards), it nevertheless provides a lot of fun in the most innocuous manner. Even though its three female leads are convincing - even if exaggerated - portrayals of how we might think of ladies in the flapper era, I sat through the film with a fixed idiotic grin, subconsciously enjoying the art deco sets and delightful attention to detail of the furnishings and fashions.- Was this review helpful to you?
