  • Highly underrated and worth watching

I really don't understand why this Canadian film is being called mediocre by most of the other reviewers because I loved it.

I'll admit that at first I thought a storyline revolving around a girl who could read people's minds might be quite cheesy, but the concept was portrayed very well. The movie works on so many levels: There is action, drama, suspense, plot twists and the touching story of her past. But best and most surprising of all there was a little bit of comedy. My boyfriend and I laughed raucously at least 3 times! There is also a hint of romance between the 2 main leads where the writers impressed me by not concentrating on it too much. Too many exciting movies are ruined by romantic pap!

I hope now that I've pushed up the number of positive reviews for this movie that more people will decide to rent it. Even if you don't agree that it is excellent, I guarantee you you'll be entertained and glad that you gave it a look.

Finally, I wouldn't describe the film as a drama. This was definitely a thriller!

Not life changing but certainly one that you want to watch to the end. Great humour - one reviewer said it is Canadian which explains it. ( American humour is often unsubtle to say the least.)

I'm probably being stingy giving it just 3 stars.

The idea of the film is pretty cool, but it drags on quite a bit. not a bad film, just not a terribly good one

  • Feel Cheated

Man, I felt cheated having just watched this movie. The dodgy set up for a start. This girl just starts being able to read people minds 'all of a sudden' at her prom, would you believe it, what a set-up, then after years thinking she was a schizo, some government officials come and train her how to channel her mind reading and use it for 'good'. They then team her up with the biggest goofball cop ever. This chap would never make the FBI or NSA or even be a beat copper, he 's terrible and then it just turned into an episode of that TV show 'Angel' with the girl leading the way and the cop type guy ignoring her talent in a macho display of idiocy. They are on the trail of some baddie who they describe as a Kaiser Souze type guy but the way it plays out was just a joke.

I'd never heard of this film and only found it while searching for Joe Flanigan, being a fan of him in Stargate Atlantis.

And what a find. A good storyline with an excellent lead in Navi Rawat as the troubled Freya who learns to control her newly-found telepathic ability before teaming up with NSA agent Brandon Dean (Flanigan) to try and catch a terrorist before he can strike. Dean provides lighter moments in the film and it's only a shame he doesn't come into it until halfway through.

A great plot with intrigue and twists and turns and a good, solid ending. atch this now, thank me later.
