Think of an animal. Focus on it. Let it become your power animal. Whenever you feel weak or under great stress, do not suck your thumb concentrate on your power animal it will give you the strength to pull through.

Alternatively watch this movie. A brilliant exploration of youth which is like Eerie Indiana meets My So Called Life, quirky characters of the Wes Anderson school - superb performances from Vince Vaughan and Keanu Reeves most notably.

Vincent D'Onofrio and Lou Pucci's turbulent father son relationship was reminiscent of Kevin and his father is The Wonder Years.

The film moves along at a steady pace and never drags.

Like Donnie Darko this is an important, evocative, brave exploration of growing up in twenty first century America.
