yeah it isnt too bad
By Karl Richardson from Portsmouth, England , 13 Oct 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
Sadly if your looking for confimation of what you read from the higgins book like i did, you will be sorely dissapointed. as with most films that follow books, it had a lot lacking, kyle mclaughlin plays a good part but falls short of the 'legendary' Dillon and left me wanting more by the end. however it is a good film and highly watchable especially to someone who has yet to introduced to the lovable rogue ex IRA operative- Was this review helpful to you?

(6)Ok as a film but you won't find Dillon here.
By a customer , 09 Apr 2013Having now read all 19 books in the Jack Higgins 'Dillon' series I thought I would give the film a go. I would probably have enjoyed it more had I not read the books, the film is ok in its own right but, as is often the case in movie v book, there are marked variations/omissions in the film from plot twists/different background facts to the fact that Maclachlan bears no physical resemblence to the Dillon of the books. As I say, a decent enough thriller in its own right but if you are a Dillon fan I'm afraid you won't find 'the theatre of the street' here......- Was this review helpful to you?

Well It Was Written By Jack
By David Andrews from Barry. South Wales , 12 May 2007Again I must say the book was better. I think the book was my first intro to Sean Dillon many years ago.
Overall the film had gaps in it and was a bit unbelievable at times but I stayed and watched it without becoming board. That in itself is worth one star...
Watch it but if something better comes along - take it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Arg! Love the Writer, but poor film
By Zaphod (78 reviews) from Poole , 05 Nov 2006This was really sad, really really sad. An all Canadian movie with people who might be able to act their way out of a wet paper bag, but thats about it. The Book is great, the writer is great, but this film should never have been made.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not Jack Higgins
By Bernice Pardy from Christchurch, Dorset , 19 Jan 2005If you are looking for a film based on the book this film is not for you. Apart from the name of the book and some of the characters the film no where near follows the story line of the book.
However as a reasonably fast action thriller the film is watchable even if the ending is a bit dissapointing.- Was this review helpful to you?
