no man is a lighthouse

Michael Redgrave has given up on society and works as a lighthouse keeper where he has only the company of his mind imagining the ghosts of a nearby shipwreck. Slowly through an assotment of the stories of what led to the ghosts being on the fateful ship, will it be enough to change his mind on interacting again with his fellow man ? Obviously a theatre production transposed to cinema with some nice little touches to avoid too much staginess. Of interest to film historians as part of the cinema as propaganda thesis.- Was this review helpful to you?
