Vintage bond
By a customer from Golders Green, London , 16 Dec 2003[Highly rated reviewer]
Great, classic Bond.
The fact that they made a remake out of it twenty years later tells you enough.- Was this review helpful to you?

(28)Still as good today
By Bobsview (554 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 08 Feb 2013James Bond Drama. The fourth in the series. Villain steals two atomic bombs. Great villain . Only criticism is that the underwater fight scenes are too long and boring. Otherwise another gem in the series at a time when Sean Connery was still playing Bond and the film was a thriller rather than a comedy.- Was this review helpful to you?

Thunderball (1965)
By lukemcgrath (28 reviews) from Newcastle upon Tyne , 11 Nov 2011Thunderball is a film mistreated by time and circumstance. It plays on many of the series iconic moments and looks incredible when wet.- Was this review helpful to you?

Possibly the best Bond with the coolest villains
By paulyb (82 reviews) from Middlesex, UK , 14 Sep 2011Possibly the best. Blofeld is mysterious, anonymous, aristocratic, and terrifying. Largo is equally perfect in a villainous way, played with aplomb by Adolfo Ceri and always looks like he could take over the No1 seat with white cat at any time. Possibly the most beautiful Bond girl of all time, these factors are part of the appeal. Connery is superb as ever, but the villains are cooler. They don't come across as mad or megalomaniacs, but intelligent leaders who would rather remain invisible and suave. The franchise has cleverly revived the SPECTRE-like organisation in Daniel Craig's outings, making them even more secret and terrifying than ever before.- Was this review helpful to you?

My dear girl, don't flatter yourself.
By Bassman71 (618 reviews) from Didsbury, England , 20 Dec 2010James Bond returns this time after stolen warheads, SPECTRE holds the world at ransom, Bond goes to sort it out.
Pretty average outing for 007 this time relying more on the gadgets including a pretty impressive jetpack & the DB5 returns.
Still suffers from the silly speeded-up action sequences & the bit at the end with the boat is comical.
The big scuba fight at the end though is very well done with harpoons flying everywhere although the music is more or less recycled from earlier films.
Better Bond girls too with the stunning Claudine Auger in the role of Domino.- Was this review helpful to you?
