Bouldercam and a host of new spycams are on their most exciting mission yet. Carried by elephants, they film India's most charismatic big cat deep inside the Indian jungle, uncovering the hidden wildlife that shares the tiger's realm. This revealing programme follows the different stages of a tiger's life from playful cubs, to learning adolescents and ultimately to young hunting adults. It also provides a unique insight into how the relationship with the other jungle animals changes as they mature including sloth bears - a rarely filmed bear with a unique character - famous for carrying its comical babies on its back, and leopards - the tiger's major competitor.

One of the most magical wildlife films of all times
Must view for anybody who likes this sort of thing. The usual high production values from BBC Wildlife. Glad I rented as not quite up there with Blue Planet & Planet Earth which are both definite must buys.
They would get 5 stars, so this definitely deserves 4 out of 5.
Easy going documentary about these otherwise ignored big cats.
Pay no attention about the pathetic attempts to provide cliff hangers between episodes there is little dramatic content here but what there is is a very thought provoking look at Tigers and plight in the wild (actually a national park)!
The use of elephant camera's (trunkcam, tuskcam and logcam) is very innovative and provides really close up pictures of what has been up to now a very difficult animal to photograph.
If you truly want to know more about Tigers then this is a good DVD for you but if your looking for thrills and that aahhh factor you'll probably find this too slow.
