More 'style' than 'script'By Lord Q from Winchester, UK , 06 Aug 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]Tigerland attempts a different spin on the tour-of-duty genre by not going to Vietnam at all. Unfortunately this means theres no real sense of danger. Sorry, there is no comparison to Full Metal Jacket. OK, the recruits do get shouted at a bit and the drill sergeant made them peel some potatoes. Fear of imminent death is eventually cut-and-pasted into the final 20 minutes. And theres the usual I gotta a gal back home stuff. The tough recruits strut coolly out at the end of the movie, presumably to land in Vietnam where they proceed to shoot each other and wet themselves. Now that would be worth watching.

TigerlandBy a customer from Wallsend , 18 Oct 2008Not a bad film although it could do with seeing a little more action ok to watch
TigerlandBy a customer from Bridgend , 19 Jun 2008ok thought it would be the normal viet nam type war film. its not good idea keeping it at the training level pror to going to war . well worth watching
Different look at WarBy a customer from Norwich , 06 Dec 2007A look at trainee soldiers in the training camps before the vietnam war, entertaining.
Slow, and boringBy Susan Avers from Deopham, Norfolk , 20 Aug 2007Not worth renting. Storyline showed typical American recruits, with the normal loud mouthed training officer. Action was practically non-existant and at one point I nearly fell asleep. The plot did have potential, however the film-makers did not realise this.
Brilliant!!!!By louise nye from aberdeen, scotland , 17 Jul 2007I loved this film!!! Give me more like this......
