a Tim Burton Classic
By a customer from Uxbridge, England , 01 Jul 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
I have seen clips of this film many times as an example of the stunning clarity that bluray delivers. As Tim Burton films rarely disapoint I thought I'd give it a go to humour my good lady wife who does prefer a film with a softer side. It is truly a delightful film full of black humour, a story that twists and turns, awesome cast (vocal) and the stunning quality makes the switches in colour even more vivid.
A great film for those short mid week evenings at a mere 74 mins.- Was this review helpful to you?

Brilliant but short
By Squeak (34 reviews) from Norfolk , 06 Apr 2009I like Tim Burton films.....especially his animated features.
The spirit and style of 'Nightmare before Christmas' lives in 'Corpse Bride' and is equally as good in my opinion.
The characters are great and the one-liners are funny.
I understand how much work must go into stop-start animation, but this was too short for me....There's no pleasing some people i suppose.
A great film and beautifully put together.....Blu-ray was invented for films like this.- Was this review helpful to you?

The Nghtmare Before Christmas...part 2
By Pronk (49 reviews) from Norwich , 24 Nov 2008This film is really good to look at,particularly in Blu-Ray,but Burton did this all before in Nightmare Before Christmas.Everything in this film is too much the same, the characters and the music and songs.
Tim Burton is an amazing film maker, but this is a virtual remake of his absolute classic best.
There is nothing particularly wrong with the film except Tim Burton's lack of imagination here, just going over the same territory as before.I would have liked to see something different and original.- Was this review helpful to you?
