I hired this on the basis of the other reviews I read - frankly it was dreadful ... not funny... not entertaining. I regret wasting my time watching this nonsense.
I was disappointed with the series finding the sketches cleverly done and original but not really funny. A bit like trying to make a film of Private Eye. Also watching one episode after another doesn't help with the repetetiveness and predictability.

It arrived in the post. Opened it and thought don't remeber selecting this title. If you consider renting it - dont! BBC rubbish. Trust me do not rent it, or even consider it. The reason to rent DVD's is avoid what rubbish there is on TV and to have this on DVD is pure hell.
This is a clever piece of comedy but doesn't always work - there or one or two laugh out loud sketches followed by ten minutes of nothing. I didn't see it when it was on TV so I wondered what is was about, but I doubt I'd see a new series if it was aired.
While this series is very clever and certain moments are hilarious, such as David Beckham's addition to his arm, once the novelty has worn off it does get rather repetitive and a little boring.
we turned it off after 5 mins very boring!
A mish-mash of jokes on fairly soft targets. Some were very funny at the time but unlike say Spitting Image it's hard to remember anything you would recall and tell someone else about later. The charity to rid the world of death seems similar to a sketch in Kentucky Fried Movie from 30 years ago.
interesting series to watch. recommended
