Great FPS, but better ones out there.

TimeShift does have some great features but unfortunately the market is flooded with FPS. The Time Stopping, Slow Motion and Reverse are great things but they make the game really easy to complete, however least there is alot more to complete than Call of Duty 4, I guess there about 3 or 4 days worth of single player if you play about 4 hours a day. But that is all you really have as the online servers are empty.
The only reason you would want to get this game is if you are FPS lover and have already played Call of Duty 4 and Strangehold.- Was this review helpful to you?

By Jim87 (13 reviews) from Harlow , 19 Aug 2009This is a great game. Shame about the graphics which at times look like they've just copy and pasted parts from an old PS2 game. If you can see past this minor detail though you'll see a great FPS which can get quite addictive, which is why I had to send it back all too soon. As for the story, I never got far enough into the game to really understand I but as I've gathered from other reviews it doesn't tell you much about anything anyway so this is a major downside, especially if you do get hooked and what reveal a story out of it. I would give it a 4 star but because of what I've heard it'll have to be 3 for now.- Was this review helpful to you?

I wouldn't bother
By qotas (23 reviews) from Lincoln , 10 Aug 2009I had played the demo for this a while back and thought it seemed alright so I decided to give it a go. The first thing i noticed is that the graphics are fairly poor and that the controls are less than intuitive. I also found this game really difficult, even on easy it proved to be a considerable challenge but again this could have been because I could not get around the poor feel of the controls. In the end I soldiered on through at least half of the game to try and give it a fair chance but I couldn't bring myself to play through the whole thing.
I'd avoid it unless you enjoy being bored and annoyed.- Was this review helpful to you?

Great Shoot-em-up

The story isn't massively clear to begin with but like all shooters you kill anyone trying to kill you and you proceed through each level. The graphics are crisp and clear and the weapons are almost like a combination of all the best weapons from other games with something for every type of way you would want to kill your enemy.
The ability to control time is a great idea with the option to slow down, stop or rewind time. A lot of situations during the game require you to use these powers which adds something more to the game then just shooting at people, even though it is particularly good fun to freeze time, pump someone full of led, let time continue and watch the enemy fly away in a spray of gore.
i wasn't sure what to expect from this game having read other reviews but i was pleasantly surprised by it and recommend this game to anyone who loves shoot-em-ups like i do...- Was this review helpful to you?
