Get over it other reviewers, right now.By Kenneth Marlow from Glasgow , 31 Jul 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]OK enough. If it's one things movies have taught us it's you can judge a book by it's cover. Paul Walker in a historical time travel romp rated 12. Who honestly watches this then gives it a bad review? What else were you expecting? Seriously? It's a daft time travel flic with knights and catapults. There! Theres your movie. Expect anything more and endup dissapointed, AND it'll be your fault. I liked it because I rented a silly wee adventure movie made straight for sunday family viewing. Please don't expect anything more and you might be impressed. So what if the accents aren't accurate! Thats not what you're watching and you know it. One of Richard Donners worst movies, but that doesn't mean you won't enjoy it. I liked it and if you read this, take it in and rent the movie you might too.

History will changeBy studleydave (165 reviews) from Norwich , 01 Mar 2011A decent action/adventure which looks better on screen than it's synopsis would have you believe.
Typically for a film of it's genre, it has many discrepencies and areas which could be much more detailed. However, these 'flaws' do not detract from the pace, the acting or the directing which make the idea and the screenplay work well enough to be enjoyable.
Based on an incredibly dense book, it keeps true to the original concept, whilst leaving out a lot of detail. This makes the film an easy reccommendation to both younger viewers as well as action/adventure fans, without being an insult to it's creator, Michael Chrichton.
'Overall, Timeline is a fun action film that is easily enjoyed if one is able to overlook the time travel discrepancies.' :-) - Movie Gurus
Timeline.....if you have nothing else to do...By Scotkev (17 reviews) from Coventry, UK , 04 Feb 2011I rented this film because it was based on one of my favourite books.
But whilst I could heartily recommend the book, I wouldn't say the same about the film.
It's VERY loosely based on the book - but I guess it's hard to do justice to a book in such a short time.
O.K it's watchable - but in my opinion it's no more entertaining than a decent episode of say 'Merlin'
The characters are one dimensional and it's very predictable in places.
Not absolutely terrible - but I certainly wouldn't recommend it for an evening's entertainment.
Timeline should have been FunlineBy lastengland (102 reviews) from Winchester , 27 Oct 2010Well what can I say...throughly enjoyed this film.
Gerard Butler was on fine form, especially when he realise who loses their ear!.
Billy Connolly was great as the old professor & I just loved the ending!!
time lineBy wackyweazel (4 reviews) from Kettering , 11 Sep 2010no subtitles on the feature film, so didnt watch it as im deaf and rely on subtitles to understand the film
Daft but funBy Caro1e (1 review) from West Yorkshire , 18 Apr 2010Judging by the trailer, budget and casting, this movie aspired to be more than it is. Don't watch it looking for nail-biting drama or historical accuracy - this is a gloriously predictable faux-medieval caper, perfect for a lazy Saturday night.
Add a star if you're a fan of Gerard Butler or Michael Sheen (and can tolerate cliché).
