Guys - Play Golf? Fed up with the wife/girlfriend moaning about not seeing you at the weekend??....then you could do worse than watch Tin Cup with her. Dim the lights, open a bottle of cheap ozzie wine. It's slow and plodding (but this allows for the occasional smootch/conversation) but more enjoyable that you may first think. Kev's made much worse. Much.

  • Gave up half way through, with boredom!

This film didn't match up to my expectations, having read previous reviews. I stuck it out until the middle of the movie then gave up with sheer boredom - and I usually like Kevin Costner movies.

  • Tin Cup-Sunday guilty pleasure

I am pretty sure this movie recieved bad reviews, well I think for enjoyment and escapism its great. I think Costner is great ad plays the role perfectly with ruggish charm and a very likeable guy for both women and men. Don Johnson is excellent as support cast and so is Che, i think renee Russo is cringe worthy at times but very real. Its simple its fun, its comedy, its the underdog story but its pure enjoyment.

funny, romantic feel-good film. I found myself laughing out loud. Kevin Costner is surrounded by a terrific supporting cast where most of the laughs come from.

This film trots along at a nice pace with a few moments that are worth watching. All in all a nice film but nothing to go mad about!

  • About as emotionally empty as a Tin Cup

I can't remember how or why this ended up on my list but I must have added it some time ago because I was having a mad splurge on Kevin Costner movies to get my fit man fix and gosh did I get it, not only does he wear a vest bruce willis style for most of the movie but he looks fit and toned and gorgeous and tanned as anything mmmm. Enough about him though, If I was Renne Russo I think i'd be able to inject a little more lust into the role (as you can probably tell from my description of kevo) but no, she is devoid of chemistry in this predictable over-long romnoncom about Golf. Seriously. Golf. Just how excited can girls (who i assume this is aimed at) get about golf? Granted there is enough suspense, enough eye candy and enough of a slight story line to get by and to be equally fair to the film the ending wasn't all that bad but I seriously think 2hours 10 minutes for a film about golf with the not remotely attractive renee russo snubbing the gorgeous kevin costner and to top it all off we are expected to believe that his ex is an ugly hag of a stripper who ends up with Kevs equally ugly sidekick at the end! Granted I'm a little jealous but aside from that as with most romcoms there are just one to many cliches.
