Penelope Keith is such a star. She is the ultimate blue-blooded aristocrat with lots of breeding but no money. Very, very funny. An oldie but a goodie.
Never appreciated this sitcom when first broadcast but having watched these dvds realize they were underated at the time and with a superb cast and great scripts are now unmissable classics.
These shows are as funny now as they were when they were first broadcast. They are well worth watching again.

I'm sure anyone who grew up in England is familiar with this series. It's currently repeating here at the weekends and reminded me how much i used to enjoy it growing up. There are places were it has aged, but not so much it detracts from the wonderful performances of the lead actors. And even though i know what happens i'm still hooked on the 'will they' 'wont they' romance.
Great wholesome family series. Hilarious comedy series starring Penelope Keith at her best as an aristocat forced from her ancestral home.

loving every minute of these
Aristocratic snobbery at it's best / worse you decide !..and does it make you laugh !..well,my wife and i sure thinks so !..The acting is a little wooden in the beginning but gets much better as the series go on,actually i think that the show in general gets a whole lot better!..Great clean fun..unlike a lot of the vulgar comedy shows about now.
