Max Stevens (Steven Seagal) is the best kind of thief, a modern-day Robin Hood who steals from the rich and gives to those in need. His talents, however, are peerless, and he will do whatever it takes to get the job done, regardless of the ruthlessness involved. Convinced by his lover that it's time to go straight, Max agrees to one last heist, which, of course, does not go as planned. Set up and framed for a much bigger crime than the one he signed on for, Max finds himself in a high-security prison where he must prove his mettle among the inmates. He forms an unlikely friendship with Ice Cool (Anthony Treach Criss), and together they orchestrate a massive jailbreak, setting out to extract revenge from whoever set Max up.

My dear ,wonderful, darling Mr Seagal-or Seagsie as I call him has to be the finest actor to ever tread the boards,he immerses himself in the character until he is at one with this carzy business we call show- Seagal 'art' is kicking the excrement out of the baddies- he uses their blood as his paint ,their limbs -his pallette knife.
Bravo Steven,bravo sir!
To miss this work of genius is akin to dismissing the Renaissance as a 'bit of a lark' Thankyou Reverend Seagal- I can now die happy and contented.
This is your pretty standard direct to dvd fare featuring the ever fattening, ever aging, ever dubbed, Steven Seagal.
Apparently, he's a thief. And Apparently he manages to get sent to jail, teams up with a rapper style character and they break out jail to take on the world. Reminds me of a mix of Exit Wounds and Half Past Dead - but those were better.
As it's standard straight to dvd fare, Seagal is dubbed, Seagal is body doubled and to make things somewhat hilliarous this time around shots from previous fight scenes are spliced in during later fight scenes to give the illusion Seagal is still fighting tough. No, Seagal is still fighting in something he wore AT THE BEGINNING OF THE FILM!
Oh the fun of watching former action heroes flop. Van Damme offers more quality with his ones. Only rent this if a) you like Seagal and b) Find these films strangley funny.
