Involving and funnyBy a customer from Brighton , 10 Jul 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]Together is about a commune in the seventies and brilliantly evokes the idealism and sense of adventure and fun.
Together was full of interesting and believable characters. It was funny in a gentle way and had interesting and warm hearted observations on human motivation and behaviour, particularly human failings! I found this film absorbing and entertaining. It was very well written and very well acted!

Give it a chanceBy a customer , 23 May 2013This is a great little film that I'm glad I didn't overlook. The story centres around a hippy commune in the 70's and the lives of the children and adults in and around it, as they learn through trial and error who they are, growing together and growing apart. There are lots of different characters to relate to, whether it's the awkward teenagers, the overwhelmed children who are trying to understand their parents separation, or the adults learning from their mistakes and discovering their sexuality and their own self expression. It leaves you with an uplifting feeling that together we can give each other hope and support each other through life and we don't have to go it alone. It might sound sugary sweet but it's done with a great deal of wit and subtlety, while also exploring the ideals of the hippy era and alternative ways of living.
Together? far from it!By papatez (295 reviews) from folkestone , 20 Jan 2013I just couldn't get into it and turned it off after 20 minutes. Poorly scripted. Instead off entering a commune where all the characters were already established, they seemed to wait until the start of the film before discovering things about the people they had been living with for years.

Spot onBy mrsdvd (59 reviews) from Twickenham , 17 Dec 2012Awesome, and I can verify how it was because I lived it almost like this, brilliant, my grandson is named Lucas after Lucas Moodyson who is a briliant film maker, have seen his other movies and none disappoint, he has got it spot on and so funny, the poor kids in this hippy household live their own lives and act brilliantly in the face of their elders hilarious lifestyle. Underplayed to such a degree I thought It was a documentary...I am laughing now as I write this
Heartwarming, funny and successfully unpredictable.By sophsweet (22 reviews) from London , 10 Dec 2012An interesting setting for a multiple tale of families, children and people waking up to their blocks in life by trying something different. Shows honesty rewarding characters who are unconventional and more cowardly ones getting their comeuppance. Heartwarming, funny and totally unpredictable.
Together but not in harmonyBy gingerspike (410 reviews) from Grimsby , 04 May 2012Politically having the same ideals as those explored in the film, I was expecting to like this more than I actually did. It did have some funny moments and some very likeable elements but the acting was a little poor. The film centres on those living together in a hippy commune but disagreeing about pretty much everything.
