    [Highly rated reviewer]

This is one of my favourite old movies. In the early 80s there was a huge interest in South Indian movies and Jaya Prada and Sri Devi were seen as two of the best actresses from the South. Jeetendra who was established as an actor in Bollywood brought over the mirch masala from the South and a new type of bollywood genre was born. Tohfa was one of the best movies featuring all three actors in a simple but quite interesting story, which in many parts is quite touching. If you can ignore some bad wigs donned by Jeetendra, some over the top acting, you will love this movie and see a great fusion of south Indian styles and bollywood styles successfully mixed.

Watching this movie after two decades is fun. I can't beleive they used to jump like that for dancing. Full masala movie, with lot of melodrama, and cheap dialogues. Watch it, if you are with a gang, to make fun of it.
