This frothy, lightweight spy caper was a massive cinema hit in Hong Kong and, although fans of the darker stylings of John Woo are likely to be disappointed, it's a sprightly enough affair. Set in Japan, this tortuously plotted tale finds jilted bride Kelly Chen travelling to Tokyo to find her fiancé and discovering that he is mixed up with both the Japanese Mob and the CIA. Also along for for the ride are ace private eye Tony Leung and interior decorator Ekin Cheng, neither of whom are what they appear to be. There's plenty of inventive martial arts, even if director Jingle Ma does overdo the slow motion a tad. The script, however, is cringe worthy and Leung's bevy of sexy female operatives seem to have wandered in from an old Matt Helm flick.
