They're at it again
By filmaniac (19 reviews) from Bracknell, England , 25 Feb 2012Just when I thought they were on a serious mission, the Top Gear petrol heads are up to their old tricks. I hired this DVD expecting to see all the old cars as used in the films. Eg, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Herbie the VW, James bond's gadgety Aston etc, but as usual the num nuts just drew very vague comparisons then proceded to torture and destroy lots of perfectly good machinery which most of us would be glad to use as our daily transport. Hey, but guess what. I actually found myself enjoying it. There, I've said it. Perhaps it was because Jeremy Clarkson failed to make an appearence!- Was this review helpful to you?

Absolutely Dreadful!
By wissywilliams (6 reviews) from Southport , 15 Feb 2012This was truly dreadful to watch, I mean it looks like it was filmed in an afternoon. After about half an hour I found myself fast forwarding through vast swathes of the program. I love the Top Gear TV series but this DVD was embarrassingly contrived and revolved around stagnant reoccurring jokes. Also, when something cool did look like it was going to materialize (e. g. an invisible car) it was half heartedly attempted for comedic value instead of actually being fulfilled which would have been more enjoyable.
Don't waste a rental on this.- Was this review helpful to you?

Better than expected
By a customer , 27 Jan 2012I saw the reviews of this and thought 'it can't be any worse than last year's pathetic attempt', and it wasn't. It is top gear but the bits I enjoy i. e. the mucking about. If you are after serious reviews then this is not the disk for you. If you are looking to build your own gadget car from a certain series of movies then this is for you. I enjoyed it more than Jeremy's disk.- Was this review helpful to you?
