Tongue-in-cheek trash with flash doesn't get much more enjoyable than the feature debut of music video director Joseph Kahn. A two-wheel Fast and the Furious, this pokes as much fun at the “choppers and chicks” genre as it does its high-gear self. The improbable tale has ace biker Martin Henderson returning from Thailand to clear his name of drug-smuggling charges, only to be framed for murder. The script is dumb and the acting dumber, with everyone shouting or snarling lines that all seem to end with “bitch!”, but it doesn't matter. Kahn knows the audience wants to see mega-octane thrills and pumped-up spills and he doesn't disappoint. The road rage face-offs are amazing, the bike chase atop and inside a moving train is astonishing and the final pursuit through the streets of LA reaches video-game levels of excitement. This is a greased-lightning adrenaline rush that works best if you don't take it too seriously.

  • A throwback to the sort of movie Roger Corman used to churn out in his heyday, except this will wither even faster; it draws on video-game imagery for its computer-enhanced chases.

    Don't bother

    Liked Fast & Furious?

Think you might like this too?

    Don't waste your time.

Bad acting, bad script, bike stunts taken straight from other films.

    Complete tosh.

It can’t walk the walk and it cant talk the torque

The box highlights the fact that this film comes from good breeding stock being produced by the same people as “Fast and Furious” and “XXX”

I was however totally disappointed, films like this rely heavily on the chase scenes and the special effects, in this case both were totally unbelievable (in the bad way). No one in their right mind would believe that you can scream along on a motorbike having a knife fight with someone on another bike, add to this the bikes don’t even shake (so where obviously stuck down nice and tight onto the trolley they were being pulled along on). Other parts of the films are afflicted with the same “they won’t know any better” mentality, these are high end road bikes yet in once scene they all go for a jolly off-road on rocky terrain!!!!

The storyline was weak at best, with the above taken into consideration this film is best left on the shelf, which is a shame as I loved the F&F.
