The happiest haunted house on Earth is the locale for this Disney TV movie. Tabloid reporter Steve Guttenberg investigates the mysterious long-ago disappearance of five guests from a Hollywood hotel elevator on Halloween night, 1939. The fact that the movie is aimed at the younger set inevitably robs it of any real thrills or suspense; in the end, the dreadful dialogue is more frightening than the ghosts, who are more cuddly than creepy. Undemanding kids who like their spooks safe and silly may go for the high-spirited romp.

The Ride Was Good, But This Is Excellent!

I bought this film whilst visting Disneyland. I had mixed feelings about watching it because i was only small.

I am so glad i bought this now!

This is one of the most scariest childrens film i have ever seen, but is still fantastic!

I have heard people commenting on how rubbish this film is, but i think that it is one of the best disney films there is around.

Basically. this film gives the background info of the ride, but i won't say anything as i will give the plot away.

Just hear me out, you have GOT to rent this film!!!

CAUTION! IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A MULTI-REGIONAL DVD PLAYER, THE DISC WILL NOT PLAY AS THE DVD IS ONLY ON A REGION 1 FORMAT!

    RENT IT NOW!

If you like this, i would recommend:

    The Watcher In The Woods

    The Haunted Mansion

    Excellent!!!

Oh my god!! My parents bought me this video when I was around 9 years old and I watched it almost everyday for months on end!! Even the folks loved it!!

The story is fascinating and gets you hooked from the moment you press Play!! Young Kirsten Dunst is brilliant, along with all the rest!!

The film itself is an excellent all rounder, spooks and laughs with a gripping Mystery storyline...perfect!! Some scenes are a little freaky I must say so I dont think I would recommend this to the very young unless a parent is present!! :-)

I could watch this movie over and over again, it is simply one of the best films of my childhood... a definate family fave!!! :-)
