Watch and Wonder
By Crux from Gerrards Cross, England , 24 Jan 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
A 360 look at the lives of a way-undercover operative and his family. Many players, many relationships on many levels, many parallel lives, many possibilities, many twists.... You may replay parts of this movie in your mind for days, trying to figure it all out - and wondering 'what if?'. And, the cinematography (camera motion and colors) is impressive; it's hard to look away.
Wouldn't it be great if they continued the series?! So much potential.- Was this review helpful to you?

(10)very enjoyable
By Maxipop (4 reviews) from Hope Valley , 02 Apr 2009Perhaps the reason this film looks like it was shot in America is because a great deal of it takes place in Seattle. As for the foreign locations, I don't think it would have been wise to actually go to Afghanistan for the shooting (no pun intended). Overall I enjoyed it immensely.- Was this review helpful to you?

Predictable Rubbish
By a customer from London , 14 Aug 2008The characters and relationships are completely two dimensional and unbelievable. The plot-lines are pretty lame considering the scope the subject matter deals with. A similar theme/ plot is handled so much better in the infinitely superior The Wire (season 2). The scenes supposedly set in Afghanistan are just utterly pathetic, probably film an hour and a half outside LA and then warmed up in post.
Really it only gets one star for the ambition of the project not for its execution. The 80s British mini-series of the same name on which this is based is (as I remember) much better. Although to be honest maybe I need to see it again.- Was this review helpful to you?

Great, complex plot
By a customer from Bideford , 11 Jul 2008My other half caught this on 'Sky' a few years back and raved about it. Very well worth watching - a complex yet gripping plot, very well acted with a satisfying conclusion. If you enjoy stuff like '24' then give this a whirl.- Was this review helpful to you?

Tripe
By a customer from UK , 03 Apr 2007Really bad production supposed to be set abroad, looks like its in America, awful acting and the racial stereotyping shows little thought for authentic presentation and highlights the lack of research.
AWFUL, AWFUL, really bad.- Was this review helpful to you?
