Ahhh, those were the days....By a customer from Hove, East Sussex , 30 Jul 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]This film was my first experience with Jack Deth, though in New Zealand, where I grew up, it was called 'Future Cop II'. An interesting tangled timeline gives the story an edge, as does the reapearance of Jacks dead wife... you can guess what his new wife (Helen Hunt) thinks of that! Wonderfully rubbish '80's special effects make this movie on of my all time favorites - curiously, I enjoyed it more than the first in the series. Give it a whirl!

Some fun, but not enoughBy Savage (632 reviews) from London, England , 21 Aug 2008Charles Band's original 'Trancers' remains one of the definitive cult sci-fi movies of the eighties, but this attempt, six years later, to replicate its charm really doesn't work. Partly that's because, this time around, everyone is so self-conscious, suddenly realising that they might be making something decent. It's a film that never relaxes in the way the first one did. And partly it's because Band appears to have forgotten everything he ever knew about directing a movie.
The plot still has some fun with the central time-travel complications, and Tim Thomerson still makes a wonderful Jack Deth, future warrior now settled down in 'Old California' (with Helen Hunt still, no less) and on the verge of buying into the domestic dream. The production is very cut-rate (did the producers think that any old muck would do the second time around?), and the supporting cast clearly don't care very much.
All in all, a disappointment.
Not as good as the originalBy a customer from Devon , 14 Dec 2007Okay but not a patch on the original movie......no surprises.
Classic CheeseBy TheKIngOfFuh (83 reviews) , 23 May 2007Watched this on VHS almost 2 decades ago, and have been trying to get hold of them on DVD for years.
Finally found all 6 Trancer Films - the original, and the 5 sequals - on Amazon, loved the price, so I bought them.
It took the wife and I 3 days to watch them all from start to finish.
The acting and the 'special' effects made me laugh - they were so 80's they were appalling; but what do you expect from an 80's film.
Classics in every sense of the word.
Good FunBy a customer from Coatbridge, Scotland , 20 Jan 2007Very enjoyable, just as cheesy as the first but great, thank god the quality was better than the first.
