Series 3 is included in full on these discs (alongside a makling-of documentary), and includes faultless performances by Joan Osborne, Russ Barenberg, Karen Matheson and Donald Shaw of Capercaillie, Eddi Reader and of course the magnificent Aly Bain & Phil Cunningham among others. Shot in a Perthshire stately home and featuring lush shots of the sumptuous highland scenery, these programmes are something you can luxuriate in. Should be viewed by anyone with even a passing interest in folk, appalachian or bluegrass music. The mutual respect and love for the music displayed here is truly impressive.
