In America at the moment they are blaming programs like this for making children of the eighties passive about violence. What's next blaming the Hoff and Kit for the resurgence of mullets and chest hair.
I loved this when I was young and now my kids do also. The 3 parter at the beggining of Vol1 is by far the best of the stories. The mistakes in animation are obvious (even the kids saw 2 starscreams) but better than others of its era. Thank goodness I kept my old Transformer toys as the new ones are rubbish and don't even have the hologram.
Anyone 30 and under will find this dvd a proper 'blast from the Past'!,the memories just flood back as soon as you start watching this childhood classic.. Recommended viewing for those cherished early 80's tv programs we all loved
This was great viewing if you like the original Transformers, although it does lack many of the more up todate effects and quality of graphics but nonetheless this is where the legacy all started.

If your like me and grew up in the 80's and remeber the good times of A Team and knight rider you cant miss this classic.

OK, so between discs 1 & 3, we have 2 origins for the Dinobots, Skyfire coming and dying in the same episode, and appearing in a few others. And the insecticons and constructicons.
Why don't I remember it being this bad when I was a kid? Still entertaining though!
Great stuff, took me back to my childhood...
Being a child of the 80s (I was born in 82) I used to watch Transformers, Thnudercats, He-man (before he became all weeny and got a pony tail), Ghostbusters and all the other old cartoons as a kid.
Well, looking back, the only cartoon I can still watch today and enjoy are the old Transformers (before the days of Beast Wars and all the other random stuff that came after). Everything else just seems really cheesy.
If you enjoyed watching these when you were younger, chances are you'll still enjoy them now.
