The film is suprisingly good, the kind of entertainment and light watching for a Friday night.
The lack of depth is unimportant really, with all the adrenaline pumping action.
Statham remains cool as ever, our hard guy British representative in Hollywood kicking ass.
Unfortunately though, i feel the film is let down by making Statham more humane, falling in love and altogether caring for others. I thought Frank Martin was a cool anti-heroic character?
A good watch with your mates, but not on your own and definately not one for those that want to see a challenging thought provoking film.
Statham has carved out a bit of an action movie niche for himself and if you have seen the previous Transporter movies or Crank, you will know exactly what to expect, namely completely unrealistic and implausable action set pieces and the bare minimum of story.
on those fronts, Transporter 3 does not disappoint. each actions sequence is suitably ridiculous and there is no real plot and what plot there is is a bit confused and unbelieveable.
it is pure adrenaline however, so if you like you action films to push the boundaries of reality, sit back, disengage brain and enjoy. This film is so stupid it actually turns out to be quite a lot of fun.
