I wish I hadn't rented ths movie. I did because of the actors but they should disown themselves from it. This is probably the worst film I have seen in a long time. There is no story. The whle film consists of the baddies not quite shooting their hostages. And that's it! Every aspect of this film is dumb and stupid and Cage and Kidman should never have made it.

After having two blu-ray discs what didn't load - love films sent me it on normal dvd - and i must say this was worth the wait!! - even though nicolas cage didn't play his normal character - the film had a few twists - really enjoyed it!

  • Another flop from Joel Schumacher.

This is one of the worse films i have seen in a long time. The cast is good but the film is boring and goes on forever. I would say the main problem is the director Joel Schumacher. He is a rubbish director and don't no why they continue to let him make films.

  • Better than average

Think reviews are harsh considering how much diatribe Hollywood pumps out, and this has depth of characters, and is a better diversion than 90% of other mainstream films.

  • Good, but it ain't special

This is a fairly good movie and is worth a watch. The main actors do a good enough job. What stops me giving this a higher rating is simply the fact that it has all been done before, but don't let that put you of it is still a good watch.

  • Average Hostage Thriller

An average thriller enhanced by a good cast but it's all been done before and often better. There are cliches galore and the twists in the plot are less than exciting, and the film sort of drifts to a mediocre conclusion. On the positive side its directed with flare.
