Great Viewing!
By a customer from Rainham Essex , 09 Sep 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
Bruce parry is excellent, traveling to the remotest places.
He lives as one of them....requests and receives no special treatment, no matter how dangerous or painful that might be!
He treats everyone he meets with dignity and respect for their ways.
Its an eye opener to see how this people live.
Simply...its great viewing!- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer from Brighton , 04 Aug 2010Bruce Parry is the man, Tribe is the best program ever...he takes any crazy drug you put in front of him, he can eat the fattest grossest worm thing and not be sick. . . and everything he does is just brilliant!Seen every episode more than 10 times now and looking forward to the Amazon series, rock on Bruce :)- Was this review helpful to you?

One of the best TV series ever made?
By chewyteeth (35 reviews) from Bolton , 03 Feb 2010This is brilliant. The three series are very consistent, the first follows him through a few African communities, South American and Papua New Guinean. The second series focuses on Ethiopia and the envoiromental issues and tribal wars there. The third returns to an eclectic mix of different groups from around Asia, Africa and South America. The third is slightly better than the other two in my optinion.
Bruce Parry is a sensitive and adventurous character trying his best to fit in with tribe after tribe across the globe. He picks up on the major issues confronting each people and he contributes to their community in any way he can. He has a brilliant manner and an intelligent intuition which helps him find his way into the hearts of the people he lives with. In my opinion these programmes are monumental and blow everything else in the genre out of the water.- Was this review helpful to you?

Real life!
By a customer from DURSLEY , 16 Jan 2009I love watching Bruce Parry bring to middle class, materialistic Britain a touch of what real life is all about. It always leaves me thinking who has got it right, us or them? Occasionally I question why he does the bizarre things he does, is it a genuine quest to understand the people or just tv producers making it more watchable-reality tv from another country ?- Was this review helpful to you?

Fascinating!
By a customer from Porthcawl , 30 Oct 2008Learning more about these diverse groups of people and countries is a treat. Bruce tries hard to impress.and, although likeable on the whole, over the course of the box set his public school, ex-military, invincible persona did begin to grate. Also, it came to the point when I could not tolerate any more drug taking experiences - I almost suspected that the 'tribes' were having a laugh at Bruce's expense. Don't get the whole set at once and watch the episode where he's herding reindeer - jungle boy does not get on well with snow.- Was this review helpful to you?
