Following a misleading description on this site I found myself watching a thriller which was intensely religious. OK if you are that way inclined but incredibly annoying if you are not. Old dogma is rehashed in an attempt to make it more appealing whilst failing miserably.
Having read the Left Behind series, I was interested to see this film as it sounded similar. It is based loosely on one of the interpretations of the book of Revelation. The police officer's sister is a Christian, but none of the rest of the family are believers. Following a car accident, the police officer wakes up from a coma some years later (not sure how many) and discovers his sister has been 'raptured' (all Christians taken from the Earth by God) and the world is being ruled by the Antichrist and his One Nation Earth. The police officer eventually tracks down the rest of his family, most of whom are now believers fighting against the Antichrist and resisting receiving the 'mark of the beast'. (To see the significance of this, you'd need to read Revelation). The film is a bit naff and the end is biblically incorrect, but if you are interested in this subject it will give you a flavour. If you are really interested, read the bible!
