Disappointing, but still a good rent

I already own Buzz! for the PS3 but found older members of the family were put off by its bombastic approach. In renting Trivial Pursuit I don't think it's a stretch to say I was expecting a more sedate and brain-taxing quiz than the former, but from what we've played so far I'm disappointed to find it suffers many of the same problems; overly casual questions, time limited responses and an air of casual slapstick which in this title in particular feels rather misplaced.
Not to say it's bad, just that it didn't meet my expectations of a more mature game and its library of questions are not what I consider of a Trivial Pursuit quality either. Otherwise the game is fine, it's a well presented easy to get into quiz game, but not really making any inroads (whatsoever) to challenge Buzz and doesn't live up to the license.- Was this review helpful to you?

Worth a look

Its ok

Bored game
By pilchardman (24 reviews) from edinburgh , 14 Feb 2011This is just a worse version of the trivial pursuit, on PS3. The questions are really easy, you cant change the difficulty, and it gets boring incredibly quickly (played a few games then stopped).
If you are going do single player you might as well just get the cards out of the trivial pursuit box in your house and ask them to yourself, as that's basically what you end up doing, electronically, on this. We did multiplayer and its just the same format as playing the boardgame, except you need to use a controller and it's way easier. Basically this is just a easier, pointlessly digital version of trivial pursuit. If you actually like trivial pursuit, just get the boardgame, it's so much better than this.- Was this review helpful to you?
