Computer Games programmer, goes after big corporation stealing his games, breaks into corporation building, gets “sucked” into games mainframe, Tron

A film I’d not seen for twenty odd years and I can see why. As expected the whole thing looks very dated now although the computer graphics were quite spectacular at the time and the Light Cycle scene is still excellent.

Where it does fall down mainly is the awful script.

It’s like someone at Disney decided to make a film about what the kids are into without having any real knowledge of it and the scenes with MCP are particularly amusing for the wrong reasons. The MCP is also of comedy value as it’s what Trey Parker and Matt Stone used for Moses in South Park.

I thought the music was a bit average too and didn’t really add anything to the film.
