True legend (It really is)
By RAJIBABY (14 reviews) from Luton , 23 Feb 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
If you like Kung Fu this is the movie for you.
Its a straight up Martial arts extravaganza.
The movie depicts the fall and rise of a man who battles a great enemy and empire to finally become the True Legend. I watched the movie on Blu Ray and was pleasantly surprised. Theirs plenty of high flying action and swordplay to keep most fans happy. I especially loved the evil emperor and his five fist venom technique which was truly outstanding not to mention the Iron twins his lethal bodyguards.
All good fun, if you like martial arts movies watch this movie.
Favourite scene, The finally where the hero enters the street fighting tournament drunken Style.- Was this review helpful to you?

One Of The Best.
By Jacque12 (2 reviews) , 22 Oct 2012One of the best martial arts films I've ever seen, highly recommended to fans who appreciate the traditional styles of wu-shu. The films touches upon all stages of the true Martial Arts Sifu, Deffo in my top 5 along with Crouching Tiger, Dragon Tiger Gate, Drunken Master and Ong Bak 3.- Was this review helpful to you?

Just perfect!
By alphastar (1 review) , 22 Sep 2012I have watched many 'martial arts' films, a few great, some good and many bad. This film slots straight into the 'great' bracket! Brilliant acting, drama, action and amazing fight scenes. You will not be disappointed if you watch this film. Some may detract from the movie due to it's progressive story, however it is beautifully told and filmed. Watch it, you will be pleasantly surprised.- Was this review helpful to you?

Good martial arts but...
By Andre84 (10 reviews) , 23 Aug 2012Hmm, not sure about this one. Martial arts are top notch - some fantastic fight scenes - but story line wanders around a bit. Personally I think segmenting the film into two 'parts' was a mistake, as I feel the tone is trying to tick too many boxes and thus ticking none - tragedy/comedy/epic/historical/fantasy...
Definatley falls into the category of interesting but weird chinese cinema.
Summary: Worth a watch for the martial arts but don't expect a well rounded film...- Was this review helpful to you?
