    [Highly rated reviewer]

Having playing this to completion, I can honestly say its one of the worst games I've played in recent years, without a doubt the shoddiest FPS in a long long time.

The most obvious problem is the graphics. An absolute disgrace, and have a very similar look to early Medal of Honour games on PSOne. This is no exaggeration, and considering the games use of the Unreal Engine3, which has produced beauty queens like R6 Vegas and Gears of War, this is all the more shocking. Everything is blocky and there is minimal detail, although the explosions do look nice. Yet nothing in the environments can be destroyed at random, not even crates.

Enemy intelligence is appalling, often taking several seconds to notice you (even on the harder settings).

The story is weak. At the start of the game you are a construction worker, yet a few levels in are leading an assassination attempt. By the games final act, you are Americas last and only hope. The story flits between locations and set pieces with no real character development, in fact almost every level sees a new type of resistance group needing your character to perform a random task, giving the plot no sense of continuity.

But plot and character development are the very least of Turning Points problems, weapons aren't exciting and lack any real sense of power. Thanks to the aiming system used, unfavourable comparisons to Call Of Duty 4 are inevitable.

Enemies don't even flinch when shot, those crouching when killed have the strange tendency to stand up, only to fall back down again. They literally appear from nowhere, quite a few Nazi soldiers appear from thin air when walking into a room.

The game is just 8 short levels, which are easily completed in a day. There is no incentive to replay them whatsoever, as it is so broken. Heads appear through doors, guns stick to walls. The human shield, Turning Points one innovative feature doesent always work.

Similarly, certain actions require button prompts, like when opening a door or activating a switch. These don't always appear, leaving you wondering where you have to go next. As the game is so painfully linear, it seems obvious. Then, after returning to the spot again it will appear. Sometimes reloading the previous checkpoint is even required for these prompts to appear. It plays and looks like a PSOne download from PSN, not a full price release. Insulting stuff.

where do i start...................... this game is complete crap i'm an avid player of shooter games especially ww2 games, this game never even lived up to cod 1 or moh on the ps1 the graphics were rubbish at one point a nazi was running away to cover with his back to me but was still shooting ?????????????? i was getting shot at through doors and walls and i was able to see characters and shoot them at differnet points in the game through doors. I had read reviews but decided to ignore them.................BIG MISTAKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i should of took there advice but just glad i rented and didn't waste any money actually buying it. also the gameplay is very limited i completed the game in about 7 hours spread over a day and a half also every time i went to play online there were never any servers available. my advice is stay well clear of this title even if your just going to rent it it will be a waste of one of your selections

If im honest it wasen't as bad as the other reviews made out, ye it wasn't the fastest game ever made, but its defo a game worth a rent. there wasn't any real stability with the story and it wasn't really going anwhere, but at the end of the day it gave me something to do. i doubt ill ever play it again but im glad i gave it a go, if i were you i'd rent this. also it has an online feature but there is no servers which just shows that people pla the main game and trade it back in again.
