  • Love bites and vampires suck. Stephenie Meyer’s teen lit hit comes to the screen very much intact, which is appropriate for a romance that has been embraced by abstinence advocates. read more »

    A Beautiful Love Story

As anyone who has read the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer knows, Twilight is first and foremost a love story. It just happens to be a love story between a 17yr old human girl and a vampire who will be 17yrs old forever.

It is a wonderful story and this film adaptation does the book justice considering the relatively low budget. I think Kirsten Stewart really embodies the character of Bella and Robert Pattinson brilliantly captures the essence of Edward Cullen whilst making the part his own.

I enjoyed this film (I have seen it twice at the cinema) but I would say that it won't suit everyone because it is not action filled and it is not your typical vampire film, but it is a beautiful love story. So if you are up for a romantic and/or girly film, then Twilight is perfect!

    • 11 Nov 2009

Twilight stars Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart had a recent scare in Brazil when 2,000 fans stormed their hotel and had to be kept away from their suites by riot police. Lautner recalls, "All of a sudden security comes up to the room and they say, 'Hey, so 2,000 fans just broke into the hotel and the police with riot gear are trying to keep them out of... Read more
