Described by some as a Welsh Trainspotting, this muddled, Swansea-set black comedy does share some superficial law-breaking similarities, but has none of the style, energy or invention of that movie. Real-life brothers Llyr Evans and Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill) are manic, moral-free young criminals who exact revenge when their builder father is refused compensation for an accident at work. There's no shortage of candid sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll (from top Welsh bands, naturally), but the fun soon drains away and the tone turns really nasty.

    Black Brit Comedy

I think I'm missing the appreciation gene for Brit Comedies. The film did have amusing parts to it and the acting itself was fine.... but the film ended and I felt like I'd had a dose of despression!

    Definately a black comedy

You feel little sympathy for many of the characters as their lives spiral out of control. The film has a fast pace and was good fun to watch.

    Don't let Grandma watch this!!

This is a great film, not for those of a sensitive nature, being loaded with swearing and drug references.Peel away these contentious points and you have a witty comedy/drama with a great ending.

Its British so don't expect any Lucasfilms CGI but it's what we do best, strong characters and storyline. A definate thumbs up

    Sheer madness

Whilst watching this film, there is one initial barrier you have to overcome - the local accents. Once your ears have adapted however, what is quite a remarkable, yet typically British film unfolds. The director, Kevin Allen, puts together some truly wonderful shots that in conjunction with the perfectly selected score, leads to a film that is a good watch. Whilst there are better British films about, this is still a highly recommended watch.

    Fantastic

a laugh a minute, rip roaring film.

Central characters are bizzare, funny and have caught the spirit of Swansea brilliantly.

A film which will have you spouting quotes for months....

    The Jacks Rule, OK!

Enjoyable couple of hours if you are not easily offended by "F" words. Will particularly appeal to South Wales viewers who will recognise much of the scenery in and around Swansea.

Rhys and Llyr do well as the "twins", and a very appropriate ending. Have visited the restaurant and THAT waiter still works there!

    Naughty Boys

A funny yet sometimes serious tale of two 'twins' (although they're not actually twins, just brothers). Set in Swansea, the two teenagers explore the usual selection of drugs and generally get up to no good around their home town. However, they become embroiled in an argument with their Dad's boss about compensation which goes a few steps too far.
