Comic martial arts, more under the influence of the Three Stooges than of Bruce Lee. There are, however, some splendidly choreographed fight sequences to compensate for the laborious slapstick.
This film is an odd one that is directed by Sammo Hung. The action scenes are brilliant but spread far apart with comedy routines from some of the most well known comedic Hong Kong actors. However, the routines are tired though it does show (possibly) the Chinese obsession with groping girls!
The warehouse fight and the finale between Sammo and the Japanese hitman are brilliant, worth renting to see (and fast forwarding through the comic bits). Chan is not featured much and either is Yuen Bao. It's Sammo's film, but at the end you'll see all the big HK actors stumbled in.
A piece of history to watch along with 'Meals on Wheels', 'Winners and Sinners', and 'Dragons Forever'.
i fell asleep while watching the film. Jackie Chan from what i could tell wasn't in the film much more Sammo than Jackie
