superb.........
By williamsgwynfa (627 reviews) from gwaenysgor , 14 Feb 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
this is a superb action packed, heart warming story about two tiger cubs, who are taken away from their mother and about the lives they lead afterwards. The music is lovely, and the photography is awe inspiring. however this film might upset young children because there are disturbing scenes of mistreatment of the tigers, that seem very real. parental control is a must.
The extras on the DVD are excellent. There is a half hour documentary on the lives of Tigers and loads of featurettes covering the making of the movie.
well worth renting out.- Was this review helpful to you?

By cheesekake (1283 reviews) from uk , 19 Jul 2012the actings a little cheesy, but the main thing is the tigers, you can practically hear them talk the action is so good from them.

A little furry round the edges
By RJNeb2 (923 reviews) from London , 03 Apr 2012A return to anthropomorphising animals for director Jean-Jacques Annaud 15 years after The Bear is a bit of a disappointment. While the animal action two tiger cubs separated when young, reunited as adults is excellent and very convincing, the film that surrounds it is ill-focussed. The story is meandering, the actors are listless, it often diverts to misguided pratfalls and its reluctance to show any violence ultimately renders it fairly toothless. Prepare to ahh constantly during the open kitten passages though.- Was this review helpful to you?
