Mark Brown, the screenwriter of Def Jam's How to Be a Player, turns his attention from men playing the field to women playing games in this sharply observed romantic comedy, which marked his directorial debut. A likeable and intelligent movie about relationships, it's as perky and attractive as its female protagonists — a group of sassy African-Americans who turn to their best friend Shanté (a delightful Vivica A Fox) whenever man trouble dampens their spirits. However, when Shanté's boyfriend Keith is caught with her arch rival, it's time for the love guru to follow her own “Ten Day Plan” to get him back in line. Spiked with astute observations on modern romance and gender relations, this well-acted and funny battle of the sexes unfolds like an A-Z guide to dating. Its wryly amusing dialogue and familiar scenarios are likely to strike a chord with many female viewers, while men and women alike may learn a few sneaky new lessons in emotional points-scoring.

    Girls' Night In

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The cast acted well, the storyline was strong, and for once, no swearing.

This is definitely one for the ladies. It accurately depicts the sort of games people in relationships play, and the trouble that can lead to. This movie's strength lies in the fact, that it gets equally well into the guy's head as it does the girl's.

Just one warning, girls, don't let your man watch this, you wouldn't want him getting any ideas!!

Very funny comedy featuring Morris Chestnut and Vicia Fox. I enjoyed watching this movie because it's different from most romantic comedies. And the DVD is packed with extra features such as making of, music videos and much much more. Highly recommended!

I loved this film. It's kind of a womans bible to relationships, on how to handle/control your man. A must see.

This movie was way too long for the subject matter (love games). It was funny in few places, but overall it was trite and predictable. A dumbed down version of Waiting to Exhale.

not bad not bad at all...

...to be honest I was expecting the worst and was pleasently surprised considering all the previous terrible movies I have watched recently.

    HAHAHAHAHA

The whole family was laughing, no swear words which was good for the kids but still funny funny funny!

A film when you think you know what is going to happen next but it doesn't.

Wish there was more like this!
