LOVEFiLM Review
-
By Tom Charity from LOVEFiLM
Paddy Considine's directorial feature film debut is so powerfully played that by the time it's over you'll be gasping for air.

Lacking in Dinosaurs

This is not a film that is easy to watch or easy to forget. It's raw and intense with career defining performances from Peter Mullen and Olivia Coleman. A very well made film- Was this review helpful to you?

To not like this film, you must try really hard. So amazingly beautiful, strong unbearable scenes that rip out your heart mixed in with subtleties that resonate through your mind for weeks after. Perfect acting, perfect directing. Perfect film? Pretty darn close.- Was this review helpful to you?

Quite Nasty
By a customer , 14 May 2013little merit in the level of language and little understanding or empathy with any of the main characters ... like being attacked by a small aggressive dog, loud, sharp and not very appealing.- Was this review helpful to you?

A superb film
By davidcaspian (2 reviews) , 12 May 2013Simple enough plot but makes you look at the way you judge social archetypes. Stunning acting and direction extremely immersive. For a directorial debut, this is strong enough to sell me on his next film and await it eagerly.- Was this review helpful to you?

A powerful and compelling film.
By ChrisYiddo (2 reviews) , 12 May 2013Exquisitely acted and directed. Paddy Considine takes you on an emotional journey that will stay with you for a long time afterwards. Reminded me a lot of 'Nil by Mouth'.- Was this review helpful to you?
