One of the most famous rock bands in the world, Ireland's U2 have refused to accept their incredible success with complacency and laziness. Rather than stagnating and continuing to pump out songs based on a formula that has proven amazingly popular, the band continue to grow and innovate, taking a particular interest in the possibilities of technology. ELEVATION is a concert film which captures Bono and the boys live in Boston in 2001. Directed by Hamish Hamilton with 20 cameras, the film is an interactive experience which lets the viewer dictate different perspectives and angles of viewing. U2 perform 19 of their best tunes, including "I Will Follow," "Sunday Bloody Sunday," "Until the End of the World," and "Beautiful Day."

Not as good as U2 Go Home...
This is U2 on an off day.
The Go Home show - filmed at Slane Castle - was filmed just a few days after Bono's father died and is a much more emotional experience as a result.
The Boston show has a very similar set list to the Slane show, and Bono's voice sounds tired at this gig.
Therefore I would recommend the U2 Go Home DVD rather than this one. -

Disc 2 is average
Being an avid U2 fan, I felt this DVD to be uninteresting. The extra camera angles available to view on 75% of the tour songs were not so interesting. The actual DVD interface is terrible, to navigate, colours, etc..
Disc 1 is good, and I suppose this is just an extra. I would not recommend this for rental, a bit of a waste. -
